Pimlico was officially opened in 1870, and is situated in Baltimore, Maryland. The track is most well known for it's annual running of the Preakness Stakes, the second jewel in the Triple Crown. The second most noted event in this track's history is the match between Seabiscuit and War Admiral.
There is stabling for about 1000 horses, and the seating capacity, including the infield, is 120 000.
